PM: How did you get involved in photography?
AT: My dad sparked my interest in photography when I was young. When I was growing up, we had a darkroom in the house and I would hang out with my dad as he developed his photos. I remember being fascinated watching the whole process, but my favorite part was watching a blank piece of paper transform into a beautiful photo, as if by magic. I enjoy trying to look at subjects from a unique perspective, and seeing potential in what would otherwise be something that might go unnoticed. Photography forces me to slow down and really "look" at things.
PM: How would you describe your photographic style?
AT: I'm not sure I have a particular style, but rather just a fascination with the world around me and the endless photo opportunities it provides. And I enjoy sharing that with others.
PM: Why do you photoblog?
AT: I started my website as a way to inspire myself to take time to do more photography. Rushing through each day, I started to realize there are so many wonderful sights that I often didn't take the time to enjoy. I figured by posting my photos, it would help remind me to slow down and enjoy the view and would also enable me to improve my skills and hopefully become a better photographer.
PM: What are your strengths and weakness as a photographer?
AT: My strengths are my enthusiasm for taking photos, my desire to photograph any subject, and my willingness to learn from my mistakes. My main weakness is my impatience with learning more about the technical aspects of photography that would enable me to take better photos. Also, my awkwardness at self-promotion.
PM: What do you think is the most difficult subject to photograph?
AT: Pets. Especially our dog Roxy. I have very little experience with pet photography and I have yet to get a good, sharp photo of her. She's a black, long-haired, brown-eyed bundle of energy. When she does sit still long enough for me to take her picture, I find all the photos turn out blurry. (I lack any professional lighting equipment other than my flash). But I'm not giving up. Someday I'll get a good photo of her. Someday.

PM: What is your background, and what are you doing when you are not photoblogging?
AT: When I'm not taking photos or working on my photoblog, I am the webmaster for public radio in Louisville. Originally from Texas, I have experience as an editor and a graphic designer. My job as webmaster at public radio affords me the instant gratification of working on our station websites, while at the same time getting to meet some fantastic musicians and seeing a lot of great concerts.
