PM: How did you get involved in photography?
FE: I think I seriously began to get involved when I took my first photography class in high school. Although it was the first and only photography class I have taken, being in the darkroom left me with the passion for developing film and watching it come alive before my eyes. Photography became a major part of my life after that class.
PM: How would you describe your photographic style?
FE: I dont have a style, per sé. I just take photos of things I wish to remember, that are strange, or appeal to me in some way. Sometimes the photos just capture a moment in time which may not be significant to anyone else...but is everything to me. With that photo I can relive that moment in time. I really dont take photos to please or shock anyone, I just take photos of people/places/things I find interesting.
PM: Why do you photoblog?
FE: Back to how I got involved in photography. My teacher in high school said I was a very poor photographer, and strongly criticized my work without providing any real feedback as to how to improve. I started photoblogging shortly after that. I wanted feedback that could help me improve my photography, or at least say something good about my photos. I have to say that photoblogging has definitally accomplished that.
PM: What are your strengths and weakness as a photographer?
FE: I would say my strengths are my ability to adapt to certain situations, whether it be location, atmosphere, or with people. Weaknesses...although I am working on it, I have trouble asking strangers if I can take their portrait. I also have issues about taking my camera out in front of large groups of people. This is bad because I am now working for a newspaper which puts me in many of these situations everytime I go out for a shoot.
PM: What would you recommend for beginning photobloggers?
FE: I think if photobloggers really want to get a start, have some GOOD photos. Snap shots just wont do. Also, have patience, traffic doesnt grow on trees. Review other peoples photoblogs, talk with people, all of those good things.

PM: What is your background, and what are you doing when you are not photoblogging?
FE: I am a student at an all female college in the Southern US. I work part time as a waitress, and also part time as a freelance photographer for various publications (newspaper and magazines) where I live. My boyfriend (of 5 years) is Canadian, so I am in Canada alot also. This is also where the name Eskimo came from as part of my online alias. I enjoy fencing, my friends, and reading. I'm overall a very quiet person...unless you know me, then I'm a loudmouth.
