Equipment: 1) Contax G2 with 28mm, 35mm, 45mm and 90mm lenses. (2) A Contax T2. (3) An Olympus E-300 digital SLR with 14-45mm and 50-200mm lenses. (4) A Ricoh GR Digital.

PM: How did you get involved in photography?
IF: I learned photography from my Dad when I was young and went on to enjoy photography as an art form through galleries like Impressions in York and the Photographers' Gallery in London.
PM: How would you describe your photographic style?
IF: Deadpan street photography and documentary of urban culture.
PM: Why do you photoblog?
IF: Shooting for an audience provides me with the motivation to explore new ideas.
PM: What are your strengths and weakness as a photographer?
IF: Strengths – thinking creatively and trying new things. Weaknesses – hesitation and shyness.
PM: What's your greatest photographic ambition?
IF: I have two actually! (1) To travel to a far-off land and shoot a documentary project on something I currently know nothing about. (2) To open a gallery of photography in Cambridge.

PM: What is your background, and what are you doing when you are not photoblogging?
IF: I trained as a journalist after studying chemistry for my degree and PhD. I am currently Features Editor for Photography Monthly magazine in the UK.
