PM: How did you get involved in photography?
S: I always loved to take pictures but 15 years ago I got into photography more seriously. I owned a Minolta Dynax 8000i and I took my pictures on slides. Yet due to another upcoming hobby I lost a bit of interest and I stopped taking pictures withthe SLR. I started again when the Digital Camera era arose. I fell in love with it and meanwhile I am a real enthusiast.
PM: How would you describe your photographic style?
S: I like to take photos in two different ways. First: I like to go out into the nature, then I am looking for motifs and mostly I find them on first sight. Second: Then I arrange things (especially flowers or things I have at home), like in a kind of studio, and take photos of them. My favorite motifs come from mother nature, all things natural, especially flowers and parts of old buildings.

PM: Why do you photoblog?
S: I quickly found out that it is not satisfying for me just to take photographs for myself and not showing them to others or not sharing them with others. I love to receive feedback on my work - whether it's a good one or it's criticism. Photoblogging is a way to achieve all that, plus one can make contacts and friends real quickly. I also like to visit the photoblogs of my contacts or to find new blogs that are interesting to me. Sharing the same passion is wonderful. I should not forget that I learned a lot fromother Photobloggers as well.

PM: What are your strengths and weakness as a photographer?
S: I think my strenghts are the ability to see extraordinary things in ordinary objects and I always have a closer look at the objects, my skills are to reproduce those fascinating details photographically. My main weakness is my laziness not to use a tripod constantly. From time to time I am disappointed, that the shots did not turn out as sharp as I wanted them to be.
PM: Is there any message you would like to state with your photographs?
Everybody can be creative in photography, you just have to look closer at things and get more into details. There is so much beauty all around, even in a rusty nail or in a withered flower. Photography can make you more attentive and sensitive to the tiny things in life. And I always trust in my all time motto "the eye makes the photograph, not the camera."

PM: What is your background, and what are you doing when you are not photoblogging?
S: I am interested in many things, so my days are always too short. When I am not photoblogging or taking photographs,
I like to jog or to hike. I like to travel (my favorite countries are Greece and the U.S.) and I am interested in improving my skills in English and Greek. I love music, cooking and good company. But most of all I love to be in the great outdoors.
