"I drove up to Austin before sunrise to
try and get a shot of the skyline in the "blue hour". Alas, I was too
late and missed the light I was looking for. Determined not to let this
happen again, I decided to head downtown to seek out the perfect vantage
point for my next attempt. In the process I came across this structure
fire and started snapping away. When the sun began to rise between the
buildings, I found the shot I was looking for. It's amazing to find
great beauty among such destruction and chaos. Fortunately, although a
lot of property was destroyed, nobody was injured or killed." - Andy Heatwole

"This photo was taken of the last
vacant strip of land in Irvine, California, being bulldozed for a new
track of homes. It was taken in March of 2006. I took it to remember one
of my favorite views, which now consists of a housing development." - Danielle Katz

parking lot when I saw that kid squating next to the paybooth. He was
watching motorcycles. I don't know what he was doing there and what he
was thinking about, but his expression caught my eyes. Perhaps he was

· Creative images of landscape, urban, nature, travel, still life... and everything else.
